Tips

We encourage you to arrive at least 10 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment – check in, relax and enjoy the shop before you're whisked away for your personalized consultation and Airbrush Tanning experience. 

 

THE DAY BEFORE

Manicures, pedicures, waxing and/or shaving (all those girly things that we love) should be done at least a day before your visit with us

PREPPING YOUR SKIN IS KEY

Shower at least five hours before your appointment and exfoliate your skin. Currently our favorite exfoliate is a  sugar scrub by poor boys scrub.  Do not moisturize, apply deodorants, or make-up.

 

WHAT TO WEAR
Dark loose clothes and flip-flops. Your tan lines are up to you. Get tanned in a swimsuit or any type of undergarment (dark colors only). No tan lines? We currently sell side-less panties. Rainy weather, a hoodie, rain boots or uggs will avoid spotting.

 

THE DAY AFTER
The next day, we recommend a quick 5-minute luke warm rinse, no scrubbing and pat dry. Johnson's Baby head-to-Toe Body Wash is the best choice for liquid soap (Dove soap will remove fifty percent of your tan). A mani or pedi after your airbrush tan will remove the tanning color. Nikki recommends only a polish change. 

COLOR PROCESSING TIME
It will take up to 12 hours for your airbrush tan to process. Once you take your first initial shower after your airbrush spray tan you are then free to sit poolside, take a Pilates class or any other physical activity. For maximum results, apply moisturizer twice daily; the tan should last between 7-14 days. 

 

VACATION BABY

Who doesn’t love a massage on vacation? A massage with oil will remove your tanning color. Pack your Indulge Lotion sold by Nikki Tans and bring it to the spa with you. Long hours in the water will fad your tan a bit faster and a Jacuzzi or a steam-room could make it peal just like a tan from the sun.

 

WORKOUTS

A hot yoga class or wearing a tight sports bra the following day is definitely on our do-not-do list!
